RSS or Really Simple Syndication is an XML-based feed format for content distribution. Instead of having to revisit a website to see if it has fresh content, you can view an aggregation of latest headlines via a feed reader which collects news from your selected websites. An RSS service, also called an RSS channel, uses an XML format to list the fresh headlines and live links to a web page.
You will need to download a program called a news reader. This provides a user-friendly interface to read the RSS information feeds from your favourite websites on your computer. You can subscribe to a new RSS feed or manage your existing feeds via the reader.
There is a range of these available online. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so please take this into account when you choose one, and follow the instructions. Download Feed Readers (From Google).
